Extrusion process is one stage procedure and not two as blow injection.
Injection does not exist here, only air, and by a plastic strip (or candle on real terms) it is determined the
long that the container must have before the mold closes, and air injection process starts to let resin begin
to take its mold’s form.
This process is common to use high and low density polyethylene, polypropylene. However, there are several resins
that can be used under this process.
1. Starting form a tube or line of continuous form.
2. It is cut and locked by refrigerated mold.
3. And by introducing compressed air in its interior.
4. It is forced to acquire its containing mold’s form.
5. In other phase the bottle is expelled.
6. Once this cycle is ended, product is carried to trimmed station where surpluses are cleaned automatically or manually.
The advantages from this system are:
Simplicity.
Versatility.
Low cost on raw material compared to other technologies.
